With this reward, the total amount of rewards given to players by the BCCI over the past 15 months has reached ₹204 crore (approximately $2.5 billion). The team received ₹125 crore (approximately $1.25 billion) for winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, and ₹58 crore (approximately $5.8 billion) for winning the 2025 Champions Trophy. Now, this Asia Cup victory has added to that list.
India has won its ninth title in Asia Cup history. This is the most by any team. Sri Lanka is second with six titles.

IND vs PAK highlights
In the final, Pakistan batted first and scored 146 runs. Chasing the target, India had a disastrous start. Top-order batsmen Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav departed in quick succession. However, young batsman Tilak Verma took charge and played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 69 runs.
Verma received excellent support from Sanju Samson (24 runs) and then Shivam Dubey (33 runs). Both partnerships steadied India and ultimately led to victory. Verma and Dubey’s 60-run partnership, in particular, completely swung the match in India’s favor.
With this victory, Team India once again proved that even new players are capable of shouldering responsibility in times of crisis. The BCCI’s rewards announcement made this success even more special.
