BCCI announces new venues for Team India and South Africa A tour
The BCCI has announced the updated schedule of the international, domestic season and South Africa A tour of India for 2025. Let us tell you that the Indian team will play Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals (T20Is) against West Indies and South Africa at home. The Test series against West Indies will start in Ahmedabad from October 2, 2025.
At the same time, the second Test against West Indies, which was earlier scheduled to be held in Kolkata, will now be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Meanwhile, the first Test against South Africa, which will start from November 14, will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata instead of New Delhi.
Due to the renovation of the outfield and pitches at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the ODI series between Team India (Senior Women) and Australia Women has been shifted from Chennai. The first two ODIs will now be held at the new PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh, while the third and final ODI will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
On the other hand, South Africa Men’s A team will face India A in two multi-day matches and three ODIs from 30 October 2025. These two multi-day matches will be held at the BCCI Center of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru, while the three ODIs have been shifted from the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
