Hong Kong Sixes 2025: Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has been appointed captain of the Indian team in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament. This news came on Tuesday, September 23rd. In addition to Karthik, former Indian player and spin master Ravichandran Ashwin will also be a part of the Indian team.

40-year-old Dinesh Karthik has played 60 T20 Internationals for India. A renowned wicketkeeper-batsman in the Indian Premier League, Karthik has scored 4,842 runs in 257 matches. He scored these runs at a strike rate of 135.36 and also scored 22 half-centuries during his IPL career.
In addition to his batting and wicketkeeping, Karthik has been a shrewd and astute captain. Furthermore, as RCB’s assistant coach, he paid close attention to each player, devised new strategies, and played a key role in the acquisition of players in the mega auction, which helped RCB end its 18-year wait for an IPL title.
