What Is Your Contribution To Indian Cricket?": Ex-Indian to Harsha Bhogle

Harsha Bhogle

In response to Harsha Bhogle’s comments about the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) score in their IPL match against the Mumbai Indians (MI), former Indian leg-spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan jokingly questioned Bhogle’s assessment. Bhogle had suggested on social media that CSK’s total was 20 runs below par, considering the dew and Mumbai’s strong batting lineup.

206 is a fine score, but on this surface, with a bit of dew coming in and not many bowling options, #CSK will think they need another 20,” Bhogle had posted on X.

Sivaramakrishnan, however, blasted Bhogle for his prediction.

You guys love to put Chennai guys down, you have done it with me, but not with CSK. Mumbai freaks,” Sivaramakrishnan replied on Bhogle’s post.

The 58-year-old didn’t stop here, as he also questioned Bhogle’s contribution to Indian cricket.

I really wonder what your contribution is to Indian cricket,” he said in another response.

Sivaramakrishnan, however, deleted his replies on Bhogle’s post.

CSK bowlers proved Harsha Bhogle wrong, restricting Mumbai Indians to 186/6 and winning by 20 runs. Despite a strong start (70/0), Mumbai’s batting faltered. Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten century (105 off 63 balls) was a lone bright spot, as other batsmen, including captain Hardik Pandya, struggled. After the match, Sunil Gavaskar criticized Hardik’s captaincy.
